Frequently asked questions
Can I put my ceramics in the dishwasher and microwave?
To keep them looking good and working well for a long time - it is best not to put them in the dishwasher and microwave.
Do you take commissions?
I love meeting new people and working collaboratively. So from time to time I do work on commissions. Typically the ceramics process takes 6 weeks so please allow for this accordingly. If you have an idea or something you would like to discuss - please get in touch using the form or email on contact page.
I really like a piece but it is not in stock?
If you see something that you like on my shop but it is not in stock please email (hello@weareclay.co.uk) or fill in the form and I will do my best to make more and notify you when they become available.
How long will my items take to ship?
I always aim to ship items within 3 days of receiving the order - expect when I am on holiday. This will be made clear on my website. If for any reason you need something urgently - send me an email and I will do my best to get it to you ASAP. Items will be sent via Royal Mail. Please email if you would like to buy something and have it shipped internationally.
Do you hand deliver or offer collection pick up?
I can hand deliver pottery within the Leyton(stone) and Stratford area - this is £5. Please email if you would like this. You are also welcome to come visit the studio and pick up your piece and have a cuppa.
Can I return items?
I can offer returns, refunds or replacement where items are faulty or you feel they’re not as described. However this is on a case by case basis. I hope your pottery lasts a lifetime but I hope you understand I cannot be liable for pieces broken as a result of accidents or improper use.
How sustainable is your ceramics process?
I try my best to ensure the process is as sustainable as possible. For example, I recycle any clay that is discarded, any ‘seconds’ are not thrown out and sold at discounted prices or donated to charities supporting people who have experienced homelessness or domestic violence. I use recycled packaging wherever possible and also deliver on my bike. Sometimes I use recycled packaging which has logos from other brands - please specify at the checkout with regard to which packaging you prefer.
